We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, HR Business Partner to support day-to-day HR operations and global people programs for our international locations: Munich, London, Stockholm, Paris, Tel Aviv, Beijing, and Bangalore. Serving as the first line of support to our Partners and employees within these office locations.

Your role

Reporting to the Head of People Operations in Palo Alto, California, your role will be very hands-on and require a degree of confidence and independence in decision-making, as well as the ability to navigate effective communication across a 9-hour time zone difference. This position carries functional responsibilities across several areas: recruiting assistance, on-boarding, policy implementation, employment law compliance, employee relations, off-boarding, data collection, performance management, program roll-out, and employee relations. In full transparency, that requires someone who doesn’t mind getting his/her hands dirty and seeing new challenges each day. Think: strategic, yet scrappy. The payoff for the right person in this role is not only learning about broader global people and compliance topics, but also helping put your thumbprint on many foundational operational and culture-driven projects for the firm.

  • You will administer various human resource plans and procedures for all regional staff and participate in ensuring performance evaluation program deadlines are met
  • You partner with internal Siemens partners on the topic of benefits administration
  • Further, you manage recruitment process-internal Siemens partners and external vendors for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students and temporary employees
  • You serve as point-of-contact for candidates and new hires via on-boarding process (partnering with group administrators and onboarding services)
  • You handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit processes and participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings as required
  • In addition, you assist in org chart changes, as required as well as in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to the established goals
  • You maintain human resource information system records, compile reports and ensure compliance with jurisdictional employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • You cooperate directly with Siemens global site HR partners, as necessary and assist in program rollouts and participate in the building process to ensure regional employee considerations are met

Your qualifications

  • We look forward to meeting you if you hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related and bring more than 5 years’ experience of HR generalist responsibilities, preferably from a Siemens background
  • You have a deep understanding of labor law and employment equity regulations
  • Further, you bring efficient HR administration and people engagement skills as well as excellent record keeping skills and fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • You bring strong proficiency in Excel and superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software
  • To find your way in your international environment you bring business-fluent English and German language skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You work comfortably under pressure and have and remarkable organizational skills to meet tight deadlines as well as conflict management skills and problem-solving skills to make strong decisions
