Do you want to shape Stena Lines future by development of our people, culture, structure and ways of working? 

As our People Manager you have the role purpose to lead and develop the HR/people team in Germany to safeguard the regional contribution to the strategic people agenda. That includes all aspects along the employee journey. This position ensures the regional contribution for shaping the future by the development of the people, culture, structure and ways of working based on the Business and People Strategy.

What you will experience?

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and engage our small but excellent HR team in Germany
  • Responsibility to realize Stena Line’s strategic people agenda and objectives within your area of responsibility (bring in your own ideas!)
  • Drive change by using an employee and customer centric mindset where HR Germany works as an integrated part of the business
  • Provide a consistent and efficient HR service delivery throughout the employee journey
  • Leading and securing the payroll, to be able to conduct payroll as back up, provide excellent HR services, drive forward HR transformation projects and act as a professional partner towards authorities, insurance companies and external and internal business partners
  • Leading the People Sustainability agenda by contributing to group initiatives and initiating regional activities to make sure we are a safe and inclusive place to work
  • Responsible for workers council negotiations and workers council involvement

Who are you?

We believe your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. As an HR experienced person, you have a natural drive to achieve goals and constantly work with developments and improvements. We are looking for someone with "doer qualities" , business accumen and an open mindsets towards modern ways of working.

Required skills:

  • good knowledge in labor law, payroll, talent acquisition, people & culture, people development and HR processes
  • first leadership experience 
  • several years of working experience in HR
  • fluent in English and German 
  • welcoming, caring & realiable behaviors
  • willingness to take on the additional function of “occupational safety officer” (training can be provided)

This is a full-time and permanent position located in Hamburg or Rostock. We offer hybrid working. Our small and fantastic HR team is placed in Rostock.
