The Runners Point Group is looking for a HR Business Partner to join our HR team for the Headquarter functions of Runners Point, Sidestep and Foot Locker EU. This role allows you to cover the entire range of the Human Resources field throughout the employee life cycle in an international retail environment. You are supported by various subject matter experts when coordinating and advising the business in the fields of performance management, employee relations, HR administration, and legal affairs. This position is based in Recklinghausen, Germanyand reports into the Director, Human Resources.

Please note this is a 12-month contract opportunity as coverage for parental leave.

VERANTWORTLICHKEITEN

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • As (Junior) HR Business Partner, you are responsible for a defined area of the organization and act as the solution-oriented point of contact for managers and employees in all personnel-related matters
  • In order to serve the needs of the business, you work closely with the specialists in the local and European HR team and build strong partnerships with senior and middle management
  • You act as a change agent, reviewing processes, driving adjustments and ensuring compliance with company procedures
  • In close cooperation with Hiring Managers and the European Talent Acquisition Team, you facilitate local recruiting initiatives and decisions
  • You ensure the implementation and follow-through on global HR initiatives, company policies and development programs
  • You build trustful and constructive working relationships with the works councils
  • By keeping up to date with emerging labor regulations, you support and advise on legislative issues
  • Based on your personal strengths, ideas and interests, you participate and take ownership for HR projects supporting the HR Director with operational and strategic tasks

QUALIFIKATIONEN

Your Profile:

  • You successfully completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have at least 2 years of practical experience in an HR generalist role
  • Previous work experience in a multi-national matrix organization and/or in retail business is beneficial
  • Ideally, you already gained practical experience in the context of employment law and works councils
  • Your written and spoken English and German is fluent
  • First leadership experience is a plus
  • You have user knowledge in HR systems like PeopleSoft, SAP Success Factors, iCIMS or similar
  • You safely handle confidentiality as well as communication with business partners on different levels of the organization
  • You are a self-starter who is willing to learn and motivated to drive the HR strategy in a sneaker and fashion inspired environment
