Human Resources Clerk (20 hrs. part-time) (temporary)
The U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt am Main is the largest U.S. consular post and one of the largest diplomatic missions in the world.
Due in large part to Frankfurt’s international airport, the U.S. Consulate General plays a key role in the supply chain for and provides a wide array of services and support to over 100 other U.S. missions around the world. The U.S. Consulate General is also a major regional conference and training center for staff from other embassies and consulates, and it provides consular-services support functions for the region.
The incumbent supports the Human Resources LE-Staff Administration program with the following responsibilities: answers phones, processes all types of form letters, assists with performing clerical tasks associated with the recruitment program, assists in processing notifications of Personnel Actions and enters and maintains all relevant personal data into the automated LE-Staff HR computer system (GLoPeS and WebPass), assists with mass action projects. Processes the annual extensions of PSA contracts and appropriate renewal after 10 years. Establishes and maintains the filing systems such as the Official Personnel Files (OPFs) and German Health Insurance/Workers’ Compensation files.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EVALUATIONS

EDUCATION: Successful completion of high school diploma or GED, or other international equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE: At least one year of progressively responsible experience in the field of Human Resources and/or administrative work experience involving the application of regulatory material along with public contact is required.
LANGUAGE: Language Level IV (fluent) in English and Level III (good working knowledge) in German is required. – Speaking/Reading/Writing. (This may be tested)
- Basic knowledge of the German Health Insurance and Social Security system is required. (This may be tested)
- Ability to work a computer workstation (MS word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required. (This may be tested)
- Ability to work with numerical figures as well as language is required. (This may be tested)
- Level II (40wpm) typing skills are required. (This may be tested)
