The Position:

The Senior HR Business Partner / HR Business Leader (m/f) Europe is a member of the European HR management team, understands the strategic and operational business challenges and is part of the development of the European business and HR strategies. He/she links business with HR and is accountable for the definition and implementation of strategic HR initiatives and projects in close collaboration with the SVP HR and local HR Directors in Europe. He/she is the HR partner for the commercial department heads and is responsible for the delivery of the full spectrum of HR management solutions and services in a heterogeneous and volatile business environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Member of the management team / representative of HR in the business
  • Single point of contact, coach and sparring partner for commercial department heads
  • Trusted partner in development of organizational design and business strategy 
  • Ensures that our business strategies with focus on customer centricity are supported and executed by HR programs & processes to ensure competitive advantages (such as leadership, talent and performance management, creation of best place to work, encouraging collaboration & employee empowerment)
  • Links business to HR portfolio and functions in the European matrix
  • Leads complex change management programs
  • Contributes to the development of the European HR function and organization (structure, standardization, automatization, technology, KPI's)

Professional experience and personal skills:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience as Senior HR Business Partner in an international environment
  • Proven track record in organizational development and change management
  • Experienced in working in an international matrix organization
  • Strong business acumen, ideally developed in the pharmaceutical industry
  • High Communication and collaboration skills across different hierarchy levels and regions
  • Proven multi-project management and people management skills
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Fluency in English and German mandatory, other European languages an advantage
